Read about all the ways that Hemp is making America great again.

Learn what the 2014 Farm Bill, Section 7606 means to you.

How is Hemp used for Medical Reasons?

How is it different than Marijuana?

Why is it better for me than my current Vitamins and Medications?

Hemp and Marijuana are both part of the Cannabis family of plants. However, Hemp has less than 0.3% THC, which is the active ingredient in Marijuana that gets you “high”.But Hemp has all the same Medical applications as Marijuana because the active ingredient(s) in medical applications are the Cannabinoids, the most powerful of which is CBD. Contrary to popular belief and publicity, CBD is not the only beneficial Cannabinoid in the Cannabis family of plants. Studies have shown that it is the combination of all the Cannabinoids that provides maximum health benefits to the human body.

Before Tobacco farming, Hemp was America’s #1 crop. What happened?

When I first learned why Hemp was banned in the United States, I was outraged. It was 100% political! Americans were pushing for the end of prohibition while two leading politicians were cotton farmers competing with the more durable and eco-friendly Hemp plant. So in almost no time, a Bill was passed re-introducing Alcohol into the American culture while immediately banning Hemp. All those resources enforcing prohibition did not need to lose their jobs as they joined the anti-Hemp task force. A win-win, right? Wrong!

America soon learned that it needed Hemp, temporarily permitting it again during the war as troops needed durable uniforms and the Navy needed strong ropes. Cotton was too flimsy and importing rope and Hemp wasn’t a viable option.

Quietly, almost 15 years ago now, America once again permitted the import of Hemp for industrial applications such as Clothes and Rope. But American Farmers were still prohibited from growing this lucrative crop with so many applications beyond textiles.

The harvesting of Hemp plants creates almost no waste. The stalk is used for textiles such as clothes and rope. The Seeds, like Sunflower Seeds, are a “super-food” high in Omega 3’s. Sprinkle them on your food like wheat germ and Voila! And lastly, extracted from the flower are the Cannabinoids, the all-natural “Medical Miracle”.

The Body, The Human Endo-Cannabinoid System & CBD … working together for a Healthier YOU!

Most medicines are synthetically made in labs by scientists and doctors.  I personally would rather take a supplement grown in nature to help aide my ailments than a man-made chemical.

CBD is 100% natural.  CBD is grown from the Earth with very little to no herbicide or insecticide because the plants naturally grow so tall and thick, no weeds or bugs can survive.  CBD has many natural health benefits that most people don’t know about.

Hemp Extract Benfits for the ENTIRE Body

There are doctors that use CBD to treat:

  1. ADHD
  2. Anxiety Relief and Stress Support
  3. Regulates Pain
  4. Reduce the number of Seizures in Epilepsy
  5. Aide in Digestion by supporting fat loss & cleansing of your colon
  6. Diabetes
  7. Reduces Inflammation
  8. Neuro-protective properties for head injuries including preventing concussions
  9. Depression
  10. Supports Heart Health
  11. Sleep

What most people don’t understand is that CBD can’t get you high.  It contains less than .03% of THC, which is the chemical that gives you a high.  It does however, have many of the health benefits without the high.  The main thing CBD does is help you maintain homeostasis.  Homeostasis is the ability to maintain internal stability  in our bodies to compensate for environmental changes.  So, CBD helps us to maintain balance in the body despite the environment we live in. When the body is out of balance any number of the ailments listed above can happen and cause you discomfort and pain.

What is Best for Me? Full-Spectrum Cannabinoids, Cannabinoid Complex, Phyto-Cannabinoids or “Pure” CBD?

Full-Spectrum Cannabinoids and Phyto-Cannabinoids are just two terms for the same thing. Meanwhile if something is labeled “Cannabinoid Complex”, it may have some other natural and organic nutrients that are not derived from the Cannabis plant, but have also been shown to provide specific benefits to your body, such as:

  • reducing anxiety
  • reducing inflammation
  • increasing bone growth
  • improving sleep
  • or other health benefits.

I have not seen any products where companies are attempting to mix synthetic medications with Cannabinoids, but to be safe, I would recommend Cannabinoid Complex by Boulder Botanicals as the best product out there currently.

What is Full Spectrum?

What we call ‘full spectrum’ means providing a range of cannabinoids in Hemp oil. Unlike imported products

that isolate only the CBD molecule (US Customs does not permit “Full-Spectrum”), many US-grown and produced products incorporate cannabinoids like CBL, CBN, CHG, CBDA and others. Nature is the architect of Hemp products and many leading doctors and scientists (not to mention many happy customers) believe that the combination of ALL Cannabinoids provides the best effect for everyone.

What about Liquid CBD or “Tinctures”? Is that better than Capsules or Pills?

If you’re not into taking Capsules, then liquid CBD Oil is a great option. You can place a drop under your tongue for the fastest absorption, or use it in many recipes. If you like Smoothies, then CBD Oil in a liquid form is also a great option.

CBD is available in many different forms. One of them is in a Tincture Oil. Tinctures are also easier to give to children as they have to take only small amounts. CBD Tincture was designed to have the highest CBD absorption rate available. Because they are taken directly under the tongue, they enter the bloodstream much more directly than by any other means. (except maybe smoking) This means that the action in the body is usually quicker.

In November 2012 Tikun Olam, an Israeli medical cannabis facility, announced a new strain of the plant which has only cannabidiol as an active ingredient, and virtually no THC , providing some of the medicinal benefits of cannabis without euphoria.

The Researchers said the cannabis plant, enriched with CBD, can be used for treating diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, colitis, liver inflammation, heart disease and diabetes. Cannabis CBD we speak about in this article, is legally derived from the hemp plant.

Where can I buy Hemp Extract that is Certified US-Grown CBD?

Buyers must beware that most CBD products available on the internet are simply bottles of pills or liquids bottled by companies with no history, operations or even offices. Most products you find on the internet are just marketing scams where someone is printing pretty labels and providing pretty pictures on websites.

Reputable companies are licensed in a state that has passed legislation allowing for the growth of Hemp.  In 2014, Section 706, Legitimacy of Industrial Hemp Research, of the 2014 Federal Farm Bill, has allowed hemp reintroduction through state-approved programs.
